Hey, I know it’s 2017. We’re all excited and primed for success. But what will make this year so different?
I mean, every year we act as if we’re stepping through a portal when the calendar flips. As if this year will be ours, like magic. Listen, the years aren’t a lottery ticket. We won’t win just because we got a new one.
But that doesn’t mean 2017 can’t be your most monumental year ever. In fact, I take it very personally that you do grab the next 12 months by the bean bag and own it. I’m emotionally invested in it, so let’s make it happen.
You entered the year with some goals. That’s perfect. You’re motivation is at it’s peak. Even better.
But these goals aren’t new. You had them in 2016. You may have even had them in 2015.
If you didn’t accomplish your goal, it’s because you lacked a strategy. I’m not suggesting you didn’t have a strategy at all. I’m saying you didn’t have the right one for you and your situation.
Here’s the problem
Once the calendar flips, your goals bubble to the surface and your motivation sky rockets.
Having clear, focused goals lights a fire in your belly. Imagining your stronger, leaner, more badass self feels good. But your focus never shifts from your goals and towards the daily habits you will need to get you there.
Why? Well, imagining yourself getting leaner and stronger feels so good. Motivation feels good. Shifting your focus away from that feels, well, not so good.
So we never build the daily habits that we need. We never actually accomplish these goals. And then 2018 rolls around, and we begin imagining our dream life once again.
It’s Time to Get Out of Your Head and Make This Happen
No more imagining. If you want this, put your plan in place and execute on it.
Over the last year I’ve been studying habits. Particularly how to break bad ones and create good ones. I’ve created these two resources for you.
If you have goals, but haven’t shifted your focus onto your strategy of replacing your old habits with new habits, this is the perfect place to start.
Because if you keep on doing the same shit, you’ll get the same results.
What I love about these formulas for breaking and creating habits is, they’re simple.
They don’t require any real thinking. Just execution. And that execution can lead to a life changing year. Check them out.
